Aqualung bought it in 2016. I don't think they've sold it yet.
Everything is owned by the majority lender Barings. They now own everything under the Aqualung Group. They are trying to recoup their loans to Aqualung by selling everything off. They are not the people to try to run any of the parts, no matter what they say in the press. Good luck trying to find service kits for your regs in 2 years.

Your post makes no sense. If Barings sells Aqualung, then whoever they sell it to will make the service kits. Or, more precisely, AL will make the service kits as a subsidiary of the larger company. Unless you think that Barings is going to sell AL to a company that makes blenders or air conditioners.

First, my regs are Mares, not AL. Second, this will only happen if Barings shutters AL instead of unloading it. Third, that would only apply to factory kits. There are already third party service kits for most of their regs or you can roll your own using readily available or easily made parts.

Note that "Registered Agent" is almost NEVER the owner. Usually the RA is a law firm or other person/organization acting with limited power of attorney to represent the company and receive all legal notices and services (receiving notice of suits, subpoenas, communication from the Secretary of State, etc), sometimes assist with legal filings, and to notify the company of such. The RAs's job is to pass those along to the owner and/or designee. Usually has to be a physical office in the state of incorporation/registration.
True. Also true: registered agent's address is residential. . .

For a company with this level of sales, I'd say kids these days would consider that, "sus."

Maybe. The problem with storied brands changing hands is they often become just that -- brands. Look at Nakamichi. Once one of the top audio brands on the planet and now they are more or less a Chinese punchline. Actually many of the audio brands of the 70s and 80s are in that same boat now. You can buy sh1tty gear with the logo or in some cases clothing and other junk, but the real company has been gone for decades.

I once had a neighbor who made a very successful business out of tracking down the rights owners of defunct US brands, buying them, and then reselling or licensing them to Chinese manufacturers and importers.

Barings has stopped all production and let everyone go. Barings has sold all remaining inventory. Now there is no one (or place) left to make anything. If no buyer steps up, where will you buy anything for repairs?
