The issue is that Apeks like many of the dive supply companies are quite small in comparison to other organizations. It is hard to recruit talent when your revenue is around $25M, there just isn’t enough profit to provide career growth for a strong team. Consultant's or interim leaders are the usual answer as they are a short term cost.

It’s such a pity that tripling prices doesn’t triple turnover and help all those employees wanting to get on.

Economics 101: increase prices reduces demand.

Apeks prices have recently shot through the roof for little benefit to their loyal customers who are now looking for alternatives.

when your revenue is around $25M

That is..... generous? The most recent P&L put it at $18m (£14,360,722 to be exact), which is 28% lower than your estimate.

The first piece has been sold off (Aqualung, Apeks, Omer, Aquasphere, Military Professional, U.S. Divers, and Stohlquist)

Aqualung Group, the global leader in manufacturing diving equipment and high-performance water sports, announces the successful sale of its historical snorkeling brand US Divers to the California-based company Aqua Master Sporting Technology Co LLC.

The sale of US Divers is part of the Aqualung Group’s strategic business orientation to exit the Swim Snorkel Paddle business in North America, already initiated in 2023, and accelerate its transformation by focusing on its core markets: diving equipment and provision of equipment to Military and Professional customers.

Are we taking bets on which piece is next?

Think Costco, Target, Walmart...

I didn't even know that the US Divers brand still existed, the name is probably worth something
From one of the purse releases: "In 2003 US Divers became Aqualung America, with the original name retained by the group’s snorkelling line. "

They are sold by general retailers like Target, not dive shops.

The US Divers name was too well known to just drop, so it was used on mass produced bargain gear sold at big box, discount and other such stores. It was and still is of pretty good quality and is probably OK even for beginning scuba instruction (at least the pool). I think I still have a NOS USD mask for backup.
