There is some other reviews being done. There is a lot of evidence that is being brought forth that shows the initial review and studies was a lie so that may be frowned upon by those in charge. The momentum on the island is picking up against the construction. Hopefully the people win just like they did in Grand Cayman.

In Grand Cayman the question of building a cruise ship pier was brought before the people in a national referendum where it was defeated by 65% of the voters. It was non-binding but so far the government is not going against it.

Such a thing will never happen on Cozumel for a multitude of reasons. The whole camel is already in the tent and he is inviting his buddies to join him.
