Call me a cynic but any further reviews or studies or whatever are just window dressing, this thing is happening. Palms will be greased and it will happen.

There is some other reviews being done. There is a lot of evidence that is being brought forth that shows the initial review and studies was a lie so that may be frowned upon by those in charge. The momentum on the island is picking up against the construction. Hopefully the people win just like they did in Grand Cayman.

In Grand Cayman the question of building a cruise ship pier was brought before the people in a national referendum where it was defeated by 65% of the voters. It was non-binding but so far the government is not going against it.

Such a thing will never happen on Cozumel for a multitude of reasons. The whole camel is already in the tent and he is inviting his buddies to join him.

I applaud this but I am not all that optimistic that the will of the local population will prevail.

Yes I'm biased but this makes a hell of a lot more sense than adding another cruise terminal in Cozumel. Don't think they are mutually exclusive however.

That pretty much shows who really would benefit for a pier on the mainland. Its the same on Cozumel.
