Yup, just did my DS pool session last night, and it did feel a bit ... awkward ... to feel the air shift without an undergarment. Good to know that it's not as noticeable with one.

FWIW, I got almost the same SP package (it has Air2) for $1250 new. My understanding, not that I've been diving long, is although dive gear is expensive initially, if you take care of it, it'll have a very long lifetime.

Sounds to me that positioning the eustatian (sp?) tubes to open up a bit more, which equalizes the pressure across the eardrum.

ASL seems like a good way to communicate underwater. My only concern would be that I'll be doing a bit of cold water diving. How feasible is it to use ASL with thick gloves/mitts?
