This is from Steve Belmont's Facebook page. (owner of Tres Pelicanos)

Our Aquatic organization has worked with the Marine park on many issues that were thrown at all aquatic businesses last year. The main item of concern was the closure of some reefs. That closure came out of nowhere and confused and angered many people including the clients who love Cozumel diving.
AS custodians of our underwater world we all understand the responsibility to conserve our reefs. Working with the National Park together we have arrived at a schedule on when and which reefs will be closed. The reasons for closure are mainly due to spawning times of both the corals and the marine life. This schedule will help you to schedule your trips;
2020
June July--Paradise Reef--------------- Closed
Aug-Sept--Palancar Caves & Bricks and all of the Columbia’s and Cielo-------------CLOSED
Oct Nov--San Francisco and Santa Rosa (including Shallows)----CLOSED
Dec Jan---------Chakanaab----CLOSED
Feb March-----Francesca and all the Cedrals---CLOSED
April May------Palancar Gardens and Horseshoe and Delilah---CLOSED

STINGER OUT

I am just bumping this up since someone In another thread asked about Paradise

That would be amazing. Thank you so much. :)

Scuba Club is closed with no opening date planned per the lady at the gate - didn’t even see the security guard.

Hotel Cozumel is open next door with their own dive op - some like it, some hate it.

Barracuda is downtown, has a bar restaurant indoors and outside with a pool, nice place outside, never been in the rooms and have no idea on cost. Downtown gets you access to all sorts of other places to eat too.

Dive ops - there’s a bunch. From resort large ops to smaller valet companies - I prefer the valet hands down over anything else. Way more personal, I think much more fun and diving can be more tailored to what you want to do, you’d be hard pressed to dive any other way once you’ve done it.

Here is an orientation map with 3.1 miles between Baracuda and Casa del Mar...
Hotel Cozumel & Resort is listed @ $73/night in August on Hotels.com
Blue Angel @ $109
Villa Blanca @ $47
Casa del Mar, Scuba Club, and Baracuda not quoting there. Maybe elsewhere.

'life changing' diving there.... it's spectacular.

Good to know. I'll add it to my ever expanding list of destinations.

Thank you very much for checking. Worrisome that they don't have an opening date at all...I'm booked there in October and it's already paid for. I just told them to roll over the payment from my last minute cancellation from April.

And thank you for the other information. Do you have favorite valet ops?

Are the restaurants downtown open if I were to look at staying at Barracuda?
