I regret buying a lift for my pick-up. I could of gotten a drys suit and doubles wing and 2 extra reg sets. waht was i thinking and the up keep on the lift.

I regret buying my first set of "Edge" fins. I lost about five pairs of buckles. They would just fall off when I undid the quick release to hand them up when getting out of the water. I regret buying Darwin Dacor console computer. It's heavy, complicated to use, and really, too much computer for me, as a new diver. For other divers, I'm sure it's fine... I regret buying a snorkel, but I needed one for my OW class, and I use it in my swimming pool. Other than that, it stays stuffed in my gear bag, so it's no biggie... Thin-soled, made in Thailand, el-cheapo booties. From the first, it always felt like my large toe's nail was going to rip right through the flimsy neoprene. Yuck.

Things I regret NOT buying as soon as I began purchasing gear:
1. Sea-me Sausage
2. Whistle
3. Signal Mirror
4. Knife

I found out the hard way, diving in Florida and Coz, that I really needed these things. I have since remedied the situation. ;)

Tom Smedley:
A bowl of chili for lunch before a long afternoon of diving.
Yeah, that was pretty ugly :)
In fact, I regret your buying that chile too!

I regret buying my sherwood maximus and my first wetsuit

I regret buying my E Machine Laptop!

What a piece of junk! I'd been keeping it together with duct tape and zip ties for a while now, and last night it died forever. The screen fell completely off and wires and springs and pieces of electronics spewed out all over my living room - it started smoking and hissing and bubbling acid all over my lap (OK, I am exaggerating a bit).

Anyway, it's dead.

So now I have to fight, trick, sneak and con my wife out of hers (she's sleeping right now) for a few minutes here and there until I get another one - months from now, I'm sure.

When I started doing northeast diving and using steel tanks I needed something better than my Carribean-type BC. I got the Oceanic Chute 3. It's a good BC, but I only got one season out of it before I started into doubles & switched to the BP/W. In hindsight I wish I had skipped the expensive BC (and the pony bottle I used with it) and gone directly to BP/W.

I also had a pair of Dacor fins that found their way onto eBay.
