I have the Suunto Eon interface with a 25 pin plug and it quit working so I opened the plug cover and found all the wires were broken off all of the pins. I don;t know where to solder the wires back to. Can someone help?

Like I said, this is for the Suunto EON the wire colors are Red,Green,Yellow,Brown, and Black. Can someone tell me wich color goes to what pin?

To all who made the interface by following Roli's plan, I have difficulty finding the D1 Zener Diode (Part number BZX55C4V3). What I can find is 4.7v Zener. Is there any hint on circuit modification for using 4.7v instead of 4.3v Zener? Thanks.

Why not try the 4.7V? Shouldn't cause any harm, but it may work. You can also ask Roli directly (he does answer email questions) about whether he thinks it would work.

Other than that, try RS-Components. I sourced my Zeners from them.

Cheers,

Andrew

I'll check with Roli. Thanks. I check with local shop, they say they're running out of stock. And ordering from RS..... the component cost les than $0.10, the shipment to Indonesia is $3.

the 4.7 should work just fine. I think I remember even using a 5.3v zener before without any problems. I would recommend using schotky diodes in place of all four diodes and add a volt ref diode... costs more but works much more reliably and can save you a lot of grief. If you can't find what you're looking for, I would be willing to mail you 4 schotky diodes and a volt ref diode for whatever it costs to mail it to you (in an envelope) plus $2.00 for the components. Volt ref diodes often can cost around $3.50 if you don't buy in bulk and the schotky diodes aren't cheap either. Just email and let me know if I can help you out. By the way, if you do go with the setup I recommend, you'll need to change a few of the resistor values which I'll be glad to throw them in for free. Good luck

Jamie, thanks for the offer. I've emailed Roli himself and according to him, I can use 4.7v Zener with minor modification. I made some calculation and the result matched with Roli's reccomendation. We'll see how that turns out. My time is a little bit tight now since I'm also working on Canister Lamp.

Hi Jamie

Just placed an order for the cable through your website. =) Am looking forward to the cable. How long does it take to reach Singapore?

Cheers!

That's a good question... I've only shipped one or two maybe to singapore and if I remember correctly it took longer than expected unfortunately. I also can't remember for sure if singapore accepts USPS global priority or not so that may have slowed things down. I'll give you the ship date and we can see what the ship time is for future reference. Thanks
