New peregrine tx and a tern tx should do it for me but I’m only 70I'm hoping my three Shearwaters last through the remainder of my diving career.
They also told me they are no longer allowed to send loaner units out, and to contact Shearwater directly if I needed one.
Agreed...I think it's normal. I had to charge my "good" Teric today and it also jumped when put on the charger (from 28-36).I've noticed that behavior as well, when I put my Teric on the charger it instantly jumps up 10-20% in charge. It is probably a function of how the power manager measures voltage.
But to add a *knocks on wood* data point. Both my Terics were replaced in Sept 2023, my primary Teric had a battery replacement Aug 2024. My back up Teric didn't need one at the time. Now they are only 6% off on charge and it has been almost a month since I charged them. Normally I would be seeing 10-20% and increasing difference.
I received my repaired Teric #8 from Dive-Tronix yesterday after it underwent battery replacement following 1 year of use. Each time I get back a replacement or repaired Teric, I hope that one will be perfect. I hope that again now. The 2-year clock has been restarted.
