Mine is currently on its way back from Dive-Tronix, after what had been described as a “bulging” battery in need of replacement, along with an upgraded depth sensor — though it had always gibed with my other gear.

The previous battery, though, would drain to the single digits overnight . . .

Hats off the the Dive-Tronix folks!

In the course of a week, my Teric was sent off and returned; the depth sensor upgraded; and my new battery is holding at 100% for the last twelve hours or so. When it was new, its charge wasn't that stable or long lasting.

It took me a little while to reestablish my old dive preferences; to wander through the menus; and to set up the transmitters again -- being offline this afternoon and away from a copy of the manual . . .

I got 2 brand new Terics last Fall(?).

I am now on my way home from a week on a Bahamas liveaboard. I did 21 dives.

I charged both Terics 2 nights before I left. I dived with both at all times.

After 4 or so days they were both down to around 50%. I charged one and let the other keep going.

Now, the one I didn’t charge during the trip is at 40%. That was with Brightness on Med and AI turned on for the whole week.

I don’t know what the other one is at. Somewhere near-ish to still full.

Hi @stuartv

That's phenomenal battery performance. I never got better than about an 8% decrease per dive with Teric #8.

I now have repaired Teric #8 and so far the battery is fantastic. I will be going down to Florida in a week and will be getting in some dives if the wind and seas cooperate. We'll see how I do.

@scubadada Once I get home and get all my dives loaded up in Subsurface and figure out how many actual hours of dive time it was.

I was diving with others. Some of the dives were on the deep side for that kind of diving. 21 dives was probably only 15-ish hours. Still, I was very happy that it seemed both computers would have easily gone the whole week without charging.

And, yep, it was just over 15 hours of dive time. The Teric I never charged ended at 40%. The other one ended at 76% after a charge-up during the week.

What a difference a new battery makes. My repaired Teric 8 held 100% for 12 days and is at 94% after 30 days. A couple more weeks of monitoring and then I will be diving again :).

My results are the same approximately. I received my watches back and 2 months later both are at 90% or better.

Is it may yet....? I need some scuba time.... Cmon Cozumel!

Shearwater says 30 hours in dive mode, you might have gotten close, I have never even been close to that.

Two things may have helped:

I had the Brightness on Medium (I think).

I actually used the menu to turn them both Off after each dive.

What didn't help:

I had AI turned on on both of them the whole time. And I had the compass turned on and showing me North the whole time, on the one on my wrist. My "backup" was secured on top of my left shoulder, to the shoulder strap on my BPW. It was just along for the ride, so if my primary died, the other one would know my tissue loading and I could continue diving without a break. It did not have the compass turned on.
