whether at the surface, or just below. Just couldn't resist tossing this one out.

Gotta think pink,

Darlene

I have a pair of pink fins.

They are my originals that I bought used from an LDS for $20: plana avantis. That was in 1991 and I still have them. Okay, so they are pretty much relegated to doing laps in pools, or for newbie students to use, but they still work just fine.

There.. I've confessed! I feel SO much better now.

:wavey:

YOU have pink fins?

and now you've come out of the closet....

you are my inspiration!

saved the day !!!

My first 2 OW checkout dives were in a local lake here in NC. The vis was so bad ... the only thing you could see was the instructor's pink fins. We ridiculed him before entering the water but after the dives ... we thanked him for wearing them.

The Gray Lady

This thread heightened my lust for pink fins to a fever pitch. But alas, at the end, I chose performance over color. I think the Avanti Quattro Power fins will do me better than the Tre. Alas, my only color options were gray and black. Didn't wanna do black, so now my fins -- unlike, I hope, my personality -- will be the color of a rainy day.

Assimilate! Blend in! Disappe....

Had a great time following this thread - cheerful and fun!

While I am sorry you were not able to find the pink fins you were after, when all is said and done performance is the name of the game.

It is great to hear how many folks like pink - I always wear a bit of pink here and there and I agree with an earlier post - sometimes it is the only thing that shows up in a picture!

Here's a pic that a friend took. He was following us out on a shore dive, and the vis was pretty bad until we got out a little ways. How cool were Jens tank and fins in this situation ;)

Go to page two of the photo gallery, click on "Clarks beach" and look at the pic titled "following Jen".

Says it all! *snicker*

I'd wear pick fins if Apollo made their Bio Fins pink...........

I was VERY bummed when I couldn't get a pink/black drysuit. I had a number of pink things (wetsuit, BC, tank) but I've slowly been weaned off of them as I bought my second set of gear.

All I have now is pink mesh on two of my tanks.:(

But, it does make me stand out.........

If it's not black, don't buy it! :D
