Open loop, open circuit?? Hmmmm, maybe that would be a good idea. Where you have a cylinder with a couple of regulators on it to step the pressure down, then you just breathe the gas out of the cylinder and exhale it to rise as bubbles to the surface. That just might work. I will have to do some research on that one.
 
It would probably work for you. Good luck with your invention. It is a bit old-fashioned in its concept. It is simple enough, however, that it might be less expensive, although not as effective! :D
