I like the rechargeable feature of the Teric, it’s easy to bring along my solar battery pack, it can charge the Teric many times along with my phone, camera etc and it has a light built in.

the solar mostly keeps it charged but can charge it partially over time, very handy and pretty cheap, many newer versions out there too.

They don’t lock you out for that. They give you a longer safety stop and/or a shorter NDL on the next dive.

Try instructing incompetent new divers to do CBL and see how often you go up and down in an uncontrolled way. It doesn’t bust the computer, just your ears.

This poster did indicate that this was the "last dive of the trip." He might have been right on the edge of his multi-day, multi-day diving limits for deco...and hit the water with very little NDL left...although that would take a LOT of diving to hit deco so shallow, but is the only situation I can think of that would make the unit treat this dive as missed deco (which sounds like what happened). The post described a lot going on when this happened, and he might have missed the missed stop alerts.
