It's very sad but I think I have to replace my monitor 2. It's 22 years old and is great to look at but recently started to show me a max depth of 99.2 m on an 11m dive!
I've started moving into nitrox and the m2 doesn't do that so looking for a replacement. Isn't this like every post you've read in this forum? I was about to shell out for a sunto viper...... Reasonable price, does nitrox etc.....but then I saw the diverite Nitek trio......at $399 online.
With the Aussie dollar nearly at parity with the USd that's a good price. Problem is that whilst I can find lots of reviews of the viper I can't find anything on the nitek from anyone that uses one (as opposed to dr promo material)
On paper:
Nitek supports 3 mixes (2 for viper)
Mixes can be selected in dive (not for viper)
Nitek has digital compass (does it work?)
nitek uses buhlmann viper uses Rgbm

So......anyone use the nitek? Thoughts?

Nitek supports 3 mixes (2 for viper) Are you doing any dives that would require hyperoxic gasses for decompression.
Mixes can be selected in dive (not for viper) As above
Nitek has digital compass (does it work?)
nitek uses buhlmann viper uses Rgbm The viper actualy uses a single phase algorithm (possably Buhlmann as it's in the public domain) thats been hacked untill it behaves like someones nanny, or RGBM.

So......anyone use the nitek? Thoughts?
