Checked for his diver certification? Must have been trained somewhere and can then maybe pick up an identity trail.

No idea if it applies to Sweden, but in a lot of European countries there are data privacy laws that outlaw that sort of thing. Even if it is for a good cause.

Well one can always ask, especially if criminality is involved, and you never know until you try.

All European countries I have been diving have checked certification card. I have dived in Norway or Sweden.
