The replacement I received worked for about 30 dives flawlessly - not a single issue. Only during the last dive (profile below) I noticed some sporadic wrong readings. Eg at the beginning of my SS I read 40 bars or so (which was much bellow what I was expecting and would like it to be) - next sample was fine (~70bars or so). I hope this will improve/stop as I have a LoB coming in 10 days. In any way I always have an SPG too, just in case.

(For the sharp eyed of you: in Subsurface I use "Ratio iX3M 2021 GPS Easy" because this works for Bluetooth downloading in my mobile. My DC is an iX3M2).
I had no issues with mine for 30 odd dives as well, now I can spend 20 minutes trying to get it transmitter to pair, then when I start the dive it just doesn't give a reading. Not sure if its the computer or the transmitter. I have the new GPS Ratio computer on its way so will see what happens with that. Should know then if its a transmitter issue or my computers issue. Gonna cost 100Euro to send the items to be checked so want to make sure I have a better idea before shipping it

For the price of transmitter you should think it will work all the time.
How did you manage to connect DC to Subsurface via Bluetooth?
I connect to the DC with BT and I have status CONN under PC mode for BT, but then when in Subsurface I have nothing under connection no matther which computer I select. I tried it with 3 different Android smarphones.

The only other close friend that I know who has been using AI (Suunto) has had several issues with it too, so I consider and treat it as NOT 100% reliable device. Useful? Absolutelely! Critical for my diving? No way!!

Hmm, I can't remember 100% as it was few months ago and I have done several experiments/trials (most of them unsuccessful) over and over again.

I think first you need to pair your iX3M2 to the android device. Put your Dive Computer in PC mode, find it with your mobile bluetooth discovery and pair it. The pin is the serial number. This needs to be done only once.

Then open subsurface. Click on Dive Computer button. Choose Ratio as the vendor name, an older iX3M model* (for example iX3M 2021 GPS Easy works for me - others should work as well) and then scan. The computer should now appear. Click on it and on Download and dives should get downloaded. From now on you should have it listed in the "Previous used dive computers" list - so you just need to select it (if not selected) and click on Download.

Be careful. Once the data transfer is complete get the DC out of PC mode. Battery saver doesn't work in PC mode and unless you stop it, the device stays on consuming battery until empty! Not good if you have some diving coming.

* The latest beta version of Subsurface for android which you can get if you apply to become a beta tester in Google play, supports the newest iX3M 2 models directly but it doesn't work with most new android devices due to some Google/android issues. So you'd better stay with the old stable version.

Good luck

Forgot to mention. @MatijaS please report on your progress, so that other users can benefit too.

All the best.

Slight side effect with this, is that if you download dives this way, and then download using the "proper" model via USB, Subsurface will store the profile twice against the same dive as it thinks its the same dive from two different computers.

Nope, never had dives duplicated when downloading dives with BT and then switching to USB. I did it last night with no duplication in the downloaded dives.

I don't believe he's indicating that the dive is duplicated, just that the dive would be stored with two profiles. Subsurface will recognize that the dives occurred at the same time, so will group the profiles under one dive. You'll only see this on the desktop version, the mobile version will only list a single profile.

I see this when I dive with my backup. I download from my primary into Subsurface Mobile, then when home, I'll download from my backup and the profiles are linked to the same dive. IIRC, hitting the arrow key when the dive is selected will cycle between the two different profiles. In this case, they'd be the same, just the computer name would be different, due to the way it's being downloaded IX3M easy vs. IX3M2. If the computer is named the same, Subsurface should realize the dive has already been downloaded.

No, this doesn't happen with Ratio. I switch between bt and USB connections with same computer but no downloading the same dive from both connection. Once download from one connection/profile, that's it. I haven't tried downloading the dive from two different computers. I'll try it that next time I dive.

I don't think you are able to reproduce the issue that was mentioned. IIRC, you have the original IX3M. Using the same computer under the same name but with two different connection methods will not cause duplication of the profile. Subsurface will check and see that it's already got the dive, so won't flag as new.

I was referring to the below that could result in a duplication of the profile within the same dive.
(For the sharp eyed of you: in Subsurface I use "Ratio iX3M 2021 GPS Easy" because this works for Bluetooth downloading in my mobile. My DC is an iX3M2).
In this case, the dive is downloaded via BT as IX3M 2021 GPS Easy. If it is later downloaded via USB, Subsurface may think it's new as the DC is reported as IX3M2. Subsurface realizes it's the same dive based on timestamps, but pulls the new profile as the computer is listed differently. Now, the user would have the option to deselect the dives so they aren't downloaded again.

Oh, now I get it, THANK YOU!!

Yes, it is thinking that two different computers downloaded and will download the profiles.

BUT!!!! When you download, you get a screen with all of the dives in the computers and you can check/uncheck the ones that you actually want to load into the logbook before they are loaded. This enables you to uncheck the ones that were downloaded into the log already. Subsurface thought of the fact that people will be using more than one computer and may elect to download both of them and hence it gives the option to prevent adding duplicate dives into the same log file.

Isn't this correct? I vaguely remember this feature since I normally have more than one computer on me while diving, 2 or 3, and I choose to download one not the other and have to do this (my memory is foggy on this since it has been a while since I have done this).
