Yeah the thing about the stripping of the chrome thing is the amount of air you have in the mix
So if you have a sealed vessel 1/2inch vinegar with a chrome thing in there the stripping occurs
to the chrome not in the solution but in the air
Out again with my 85% Phosphoric/water de rusting a lens locking ring thing and plastic recess
The dude was religious, about holding bodies and lenses down when swapping but
then sealed his damp gear by wrapping in plastic then squeezing into a camera bag
Post moist damp rainy outdoor, sports photography days, with a big long telephoto
Not looking forward to pulling that apart
Like divers, those ones that keenly lock moisture into their regs using caps post dive
