Rebuild the thing and clean it as you usually do, forever

i was thinking of… Gun Barrel brass brush πŸ˜‚ or Snake Bore lol
 
Not at home now. What is the ID of the air barrel?
 
The TX50 knob oring (when installed) has an OD of approx 10.3-10.4mm, so.. somewhere there
 
sounds like a 10mm or 0.40 caliber bore snake πŸ˜‚
I was thinking a Flexi-hone.

But the Happy Diver solution is a good one. Split a dowel, double fold a piece of 600 paper for a flapper, glue it in the split with a drop of super glue, spin it with a drill motor working back and forth.
