Only three ways to leave the airport.
  1. Airport van.
  2. Rented car.
  3. Walk - and some do walk across the parking lot to the street to hail a cab. Sometimes the cops hassle the cabs so that they can't.

Well, there are several more ways but those are the ones applicable to most visitors.

5. Take another plane.
6. Swim the crocodile invested lagoon on the other side.

4b. A family member picking you up.

That's nearly always how my parents do it.

There's also

2b. Ones own car
2c. A rented scooter or motorcycle
2d. Ones own scooter or motorcycle

Or
7. Have your car delivered to the airport for you.

That one's my favorite. Then it's just waiting right out there in the lot mere steps away. Gotta wonder how long that's going to last given how crowded it's become.

However, I think DD's primary point remains true. For most visitors, the only practical available options among the numerous ways to leave the airport are to use the vans, rent a car, or walk off the airport grounds.

For the first time in years.... Every taxi has quoted the same (correct) price. Every trip :-)

Is there a new taxi rate chart now? can someone post the new one if it is available now?

Is the chart in post 4 & 5 the new one for now on? The map is hard to read for me, if I am at 35th and Calle 4 then what zone is that and what would the cost be in pesos be for a taxi per person?

I tried to enhance it as much as I can, but this is the only one I can. This one is large enough that if you download it and zoom in at the bottom, then translate - that will tell you more. Charges are per taxi, not per person, for up to 4. The rates on that page for for locals tho. If you're a visor, use the other page for rates.

I have to hire a Harvard grad to explain that chart to me....or, can this second as a deco chart?
