March in Cozumel, Carnival

There is a parade on Saturday night but the biggest parade in on Tuesday the 8th.

What is the parade like on Saturday Night? Is it big also, but not as big as Tuesday night's parade?

I plan to be there March 2-6 but my dive buddy had to cancel out so will be going on my own. Would love to join up with some of you if you plan to be there. I had originally planned to stay at the Presidente but now that I am on my own, may be better to stay closer to town. Any thoughts/suggestions?

Just booked for our 4th trip to beautiful Cozumel. My wife, son, and I will be there from March 17th through the 31st. We are trying a new (to us) dive op this time since our usual op was already booked for most of our trip, but they've been highly recommended on this board so I'm not too worried about that.

I can already smell the seawater and taste the tacos pastor from El Pique's!

I would stay closer to town since you are alone, it will be easy to meet people. Casa Mexicana is very nice and right in town, a more budget place would be right next door at Vista Del Mar. Check out Wet Wendys on the just north of the square, lots of folks hang out there for huge Margaritas and the great company.
