Zman - Yes, we have stayed at the Palace several times, we can't tear ourselves away from the place. It is the ultimate in relaxtion! I know not everyone is on board w/all inclusives but we love this one! We do also get out and about and don't just stay at the hotel. It is the best of both worlds for us!:blinking:

I just did my taxes, and was very surprised. I just might be able to make it for carnival. It would be a tight trip to do though, but I htink it would be so worth it for me. Anyone have a hammock I can use?

At my size a double would be best. It could be pink for all I care. LOL!! Seriously, I should wait till later in the year to go. Now if I only owned my own house, I wouldn't have to worry about lodging costs. Lucky for me one of my best friends is thinking about buying in Cozumel so last minute trips might not be so hard to pull off.

Bad news : looks like I won't be turning blue by the end of the week as expected. Tied here in (cold and rainy, yuck !) Paris to deal with important paperwork, don't know how long it will take :depressed:

The good news is, the dive doctor suspected I had a PFO (patent foramen ovale) after my DCS II hit last year, which would have severely limited my diving, but the specific echography shows I'm fine.

That is good news about the health. Hopefully you can get out sooner rather than later, at least you are going to have a long trip once you are there.

I'm still thinking of doing it. What are the most important/fun days of Carnival? Saurday March 5 thru Tuesday March 8? Should I try to be there on Friday March 4?

There is a parade on Saturday night but the biggest parade in on Tuesday the 8th.
