Most of my group is on that flight, but I'm flying down on a direct flight with one other friend. Got lucky this time. The return flight will be connecting through DFW, though. My friends and I will be staying at Park Royal...never been there, but it looks nice. Really excited to get back in the water!!

I stay there a lot, you probably will like it. Very, very clean. Good food, lots of drinks around. Just kinda nice there. kevin
 
Good to know. I've typically stayed at places much further away from town; my last stay was at Iberostar. It's nice there to be able to walk down the beach after diving (as I understand it, Park Royal doesn't have much of a beach), but it should be interesting to see how the dynamic changes while staying closer to all the happening spots.

With Carnival going on you should be much happier being closer to town, it does make for a little bit longer of a boat ride, but that is part of the fun getting to know who you are diving with.
