Wanted ISO equipment for a new diver

So I have a friend who has always wanted to dive and has recently made some major life changes. As a good friend I told him that when he was ready physically I’d get him equipped and certified to dive.

I have most of the odds and ends but I am still looking for a backplate and a reg for him and a wing if I can find a steal on one for singles. I already have a cheap plastic backpack but I’m looking for a plate that can eventually do doubles and also take some weight off his belt.

If anyone has anything laying around and can part with it for a good price let me know. He already has what he needs for his class so this isn’t a rush job just want to have him kitted up by springtime.

I have an almost new, barely used, DiveRite steel backplate.
They are $135 at DGX. A cheap new steel backplate is $69 at DGX.
How about half-price for mine, call it $67, plus shipping?

Not sure what type of reg you're after but i have an Aqualung Core for sale here on the forums. Used just a handful of times. you can pm me with any questions.
