There are at least 3 dive operators on Vancouver Island with elevators. It's very nice for divers and speeds up retrieval for the dive boat as well. Pretty useful for the dynamic water conditions up there.
I had seen a picture of one awhile back that was used by divers at the-most-wonderful-dive-spot-in-all-the-world, a place I would dearly love to visit someday if I can get more money and get up to Port Hardy. Who else runs them? At present, day boat trips on the southeast third of the island would be a lot more feasible for me to hope for.
