Those intelligent and articulate comments have certainly changed my opinion of Linux. I better go unplug my office file server right this minute!

IMHO, linux is good only for Cheap FREE backend servers ( MAIL, APACHE, MYSQL ........etc.)
What is there to argue about? There is Debian, and the rest are crap. The simple fact that one has to REGISTER to use 'up2date', whereas apt just works is reason enough to always use Debian.cat once bubbled...
