I told my buddies that if I grab my crotch l

I thought that was the dive signal for "Crabs"? :dontknow:

I actually had a dive master tell us that as one of his "dive signals" pre dive on a dive boat in Jamaica... not kidding :rofl3: he said "hand on top of head like fin, is shark, if I grab or scratch my crotch, that means crabs"

Just swim in front of someone you really don't like, Sam ... that ought to help you get over the mental part ...

... Bob (Grateful Diver)
:rofl3: Oh, boy, are there some peeps I'd like to pee near....:rofl3:

"Doctor Bob" has solved my peeing problem...but the problem is I only dive with peeps I like. :)

My original post said I was MENTAL so yes it's a psychological thing. Was hoping to gleam from the experiences of any "shy bladders" in the dive community. :D

Given the description of peeing to the cheers of your dive mates, "shy" is not the adjective I'd reach for. :cool2:

:shocked2: I only crabs I have are on my plate, ie: blue shell crabs, soft shell crabs, King crab legs, snow crab legs, dungeness crabs.

That DM should not be airing his personal biz with the customers. :rofl3:

They only started cheering after the flow started so it was not their cheering that caused the flow to start rather it was my painfully full bladder. :depressed:

I have never undestood wetsuit pee'ers. Those who pee on the deck or "flush" at the ladder are filthy. Yep, flushing at the ladder, just the place many get unintentionslly dunked and "get a mouthful." I proclaim that the fourth group is those of us who use the facilities before hand. Proper hydration is a balance. Over hydration is what causes one to pee so much, so please don't use the tired "hydration" excuse for laziness.

Tropicalwolf - ignoring the fact that you seem to be ignorant of the potential effect of pressure on one's urinary functions, you do realize Sam is talking about a dry suit with a pee valve, right?

re-read her first post. She said she can't pee in a wetsuit either while diving...

reference first post. copy of it below.

In all seriousness, not being able to pee underwater is becoming a frustrating issue for me.

I've never been able to pee while in my wetsuit either but the minute the wetsuit is peeled off I can pee immediately. Now I use a She-P/P-valve in my drysuit and I'm still not able to pee underwater.

Yes, I am well aware that Sam is referring to a p-valve, but not everyone else is...so, perhaps you are ignorant of the content of the rest of the posts. If that is the case, perhaps you should go back and re-read the plenty that referred to "wetsuit" not "drysuit". When you're done, you can feel free to provide me with more of your dazzling biological brillance.

Everyone, I appreciate all the comments about being able to pee in both a wetsuit and a drysuit given I'm having problems with both. My priority is being able to pee in a drysuit given that is why I paid for a She-P and P-valve not to mention the trials and errors of gluing said device to myself. :D

I think any feedback as to how divers successfully pee underwater would help my situation so THANK YOU everyone for your post!
