Nothing that isn't ultimately resolvable... they're going the extra mile to make it right... that's all one can ask.
Get them to throw in a free spare parts kit

I wasn't even interested in one untill YOU people started twisting my arm. It's a good thing I've been good this year. My Christmas list is getting longer and more $$$$$ added too. ;0)

See!! Browsing threads DOES have it's price!

I'd planned on getting one by next spring, but the timeframe got shifted up when I realized all of the trips I could take with it over the winter. :D

...so I guess... Merry Christmas to me!!

Are you still having fun on it?
He will be on Saturday. :)

Any truth to the taunt that was made to me that you're going to make them in PINK?

I sure did that first weekend... waiting for the next opportunity this coming Saturday....

....and seeing as how I like to share with my friends, we'll see if we can "set the hook" in a few others as well!!

Brando promised Pue one in PINK... is that a factory option? :D

Any color you like, Ive never had anything done in Pink and that enought is reason to give it a spin.

To be serious ,we can do any color but there is a charge as it is a special.

Heck, I'm special! :)

I bought a Farallon MK II a few months ago that was probably 20 years old. I had to do a complete overhaul on it and learned more about it than I had ever planned on or wanted to. But now it works very well and it really does add a whole new dimension to diving. A dive without the scooter just seems so slowwww.

This scooter has a solid aluminum body 1/4" thick. It is 34" long and 8" in diameter and weighs 28 lb. without batteries. Its built like a tank. Its rated for a depth of 300 ft. You can use two 12 volt, 18 Ah SLA batteries in series to provide the required 24 volts. These batteries each weigh 14 lb., so the scooter weighs 56 lb. ready to dive.

The batteries are in the front compartment and the motor is in the rear compartment. There is an O-ring between the two sections. There is a 1/2" Lexan plate and O-ring in the nose for the light assembly. There is a bulkhead with another O-ring sealing off the motor section, so if the battery compartment got flooded, the motor compartment would remain dry. There is a driveshaft seal at the rear. The power switch and light switch are both magnetic reed switches so there are no holes through the hull.

The motor is a General Electric 1/3 HP with permanent magnets and large bearings. This is a tow-behind design which seems to be the best. You use a tow rope with a SS bolt snap which you clip to the tow ring on the crotch strap of your harness to take the pulling force, so basically you only have to steer. Your speed depends on your gear and trim, but you would probably travel about three times as fast as you would swim, and you do this with almost no effort. Its like flying underwater. Very easy to get hooked on it! First thing I did was get my buddy to try it - I figured this was the best way to convince him to get one!

I dive the Arrow a modefied version of the Farallon Mk 7 and 8. with a new motor, drive shaft and circuit board design. This is an awsome 5 speed scooter and the only one when in top speed requires skill to hold onto. Farallons is a very realiable sled that will provide you will many years of trouble free ride. The Sea do sccoters are nothing more than toys with a weak motor and shaft seal these are not meant to be used as a teck tool but rather a around the dock toy and if you ever see one in a cave give the guy a slap.
