DIMWIT Diver T-Shirt

If we had nice DIMWIT t-shirts printed with the design shown would you buy one?

  • No! I'd rather dive with a garden hose than be seen in that!

Here in Texas we have what you might call a "Right to Work" state and those shirts are very reasonably priced. Say $15.

Now in Jersey, things don't quite work that way. You see, there's the union labor and oh yeah, my cousin Antonio. He's the one that makes sure nothing bad is gonna happen to you while you have the shirt on. It all adds up. We're probably looking at $250-300. Could be more for an XL.

Hmmm. I would tend to agree with you but, I am in South Jersey (the other Jersey). You must be mistaking us for our northern brethren. South Jersey is much like the South in general. We LIKE Nascar, dive in retention ponds, and wear boots every where we go (yes even to bed).

The only time your cousin Antonio would even dream of coming to South Jersey I am sure, would be to dispose of someone or should I have said something in the pines.

You see down here we are all hicks. This of course means we do everything our own particular way making us DIMWITS.

Well in THAT case, welcome aboard! All you have to do is meet the "T" requirement. After all, this ain't DIMWIJ.

Wouldn't that be DIMWINJs?

Well then I guess I am just $15 and a plane ticket away from a shirt.

No that would be DIMWISJ. Just doesnt have the same sound tho does it.

I seem to remeber a while back - when I first got involved in this motley crew and I was still in awe of y'all - you could actually buy a Texas Swamp Divers T-Shirt, Hat or coffe mug - it had the logo on it. I've actually seen the shirt - someone at my Science Diver class was wearing it.
Yep, you can still do that here: http://www.cafepress.com/texasdivers. Very cool logo too. :D

Theres also this : Home

Any idea who it is?
Nope. There was no information in the directory other than the zip code which is near Houston...just north of Humble, near Porter.

I'm not worried about registered trademarks, copyright, etc. Unless the founding TSD members have a problem, which at least one of them does not, I'm going to go ahead and print the shirts as is as soon as I hear back from Mack.

I already did a trademark search and had a company who specializes in this sort of thing do a trademark search. No hits on DIMWIT Divers or Texas Swamp Divers. I doubt a scuba club is going to plop down the $ to register the name...which is going to cost several hundred dollars...more if someone does it for them. I know I'd rather spend my money somewhere else. ;)

So, the t-shirts are still a "Go." Let's get it done before someone proves me wrong!:D

That was my son. He wants to get certified this summer, so he's been reading the boards.

His parents are both swampers, so doesn't that make him a teeny bit swamper? At least enough for him to wear a shirt?:D

Rhonda

Well, I guess he has it in his blood at least. :D OK.

Sorry for the delay in pricing. We've been super busy around the shop.:D In fact, we brought in some summer help early. The new guy is Kenny, and I think everyone will like him. I've got to get him out to the lake and make a swamper out of him though.

I'll try to track down the t-shirt guy today. I've got another source as well, and hope to have pricing on Monday. Tuesday if they observe the holiday.

OK, this is the info I have for t-shirts now that we're closing in on the printing. If you haven't given me your color choice and size I need to know that asap. Gals---I need to know your choice of size, color and t-shirt style.

Before the order goes to the printer I'll post the final price and give ya'll a chance to change your minds. Once they are printed I will need payment from each of you. If I can drop it off to you in Austin or at the Summer Fling there will be no shipping. If you want it mailed to you I will be using a USPS Flat Rate Priority Mail envelope which will run $4.75 domestic...more if you're overseas. If I am able to get your t-shirt to you in person there will be no delivery fee of course. You can pay for your t-shirt via PayPal, cash, check or Money Order. Your choice.

Please let me know your size...changes in your order...etc as soon as possible by PM. If you don't respond before the order is submitted I'll probably put it online so you can still order, but it will be more expensive. Thanks!
