I'm a believer in insurance against things I can't afford. Had to have emergency surgery a couple years ago, and without medical coverage,I'd be in the poor house now.

So, yeah, DAN premium coverage all the way. For $100 a year for membership and insurance, it's a pretty insignificant cost compared to diving in general or, worst case, a chamber ride or some other expensive hospitalization.

Yes, premium.

I had the PADI insurance but this year I decided to go with DAN for the extra benefits and information that you get access to.

DAN family member and DAN insurance for me and my husband. The kids will be insured as soon as they start diving, too!

I will appreciate someone posting the DAN website link. The AOL search yields www.diversalertnetwork.org, but the link doesn't work.

For information relative to this thread, my wife and I currently have the PADI Platinum plan, but may change to DAN at renewal.

Thanks,

Their server must be having problems. The link URL looks OK.

10-4. I was able to log in after I sent the message. I joined DAN under the family plan and will add their Preferred plan insurance shortly before my PADI policies expire.

Thanks for the response.

Just signed up for membership and insurance. It sounded like a good idea after reading the above posts, and the profits go to support a good organization.
