I found diving with 3P’s to be a very similar experience to diving with Blue Angel. Not much difference there. But diving with Aldora and maybe some of the other premium dive ops that I haven’t tried yet there is enough of a difference to go through the trouble of giving them a try.

What, other than 125's, makes it worth it?

I have not dived with Aldora; it's not worth the premium cost to me, as I related earlier in this thread. YMMV, of course. I haven't dived with 3P either, although I have dived with all those folks when they were with another op. I have, OTOH dived with a few other ops in my 20+ years of diving Cozumel. Once I am in the water it doesn't make much difference to me how I got there.
There really can be a difference. One babysits. The other doesn’t.

What differences, specifically? If it's keeping/rinsing gear between dives, SIT at a beach club, larger tanks, snacks on board, slightly faster boats, or coats furnished, that all sounds nice but doesn't make a difference for me.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by that, but the degree of care/guidance/whatever that my dive op of choice provides is a good fit for me. YMMV, of course.

I don't know what that means, either. I think it's great that 3P doesn't make all divers come up together. To me, that is NOT babysitting. Also, I find 100's to be plenty of time underwater. With my old Zoop, I would get into deco with 100's.

I like diving Maracaibo wall and the shallows too. I would rather do both in one dive than choose one or the other. I like diving Punta Sur from one end to the other, not just Devil’s Throat. There are also some swim-throughs I like on Columbia Deep that nobody else seems to go to. I also like doing Palancar as a second dive after all the boats have left. But like I said befor there are pros and cons. After two weeks of diving every day it costs considerabley more. Uncfnp makes a good point too, 3P’s has their pros and cons also.

We found Aldora a wonderful shop for newish divers or divers wanting a lot of attention underwater. I quite literally saw the DMs holding hands with divers with poor buoyancy control. And of course their policy that all must ascend together.

But we found this style too restrictive for us. We appreciate the freedom to dive our gas and computer. So we switched.

My last trip in January I dove 2 days with 3P's and my dives were limited by my air consumption and I made the most of it, 2 days with Aldora and my dives were limited to NDL's and 2 days in Playa (weather) and my dives were limited due to the dive op. All were priced accordingly and I have no complaints with any of them. With Aldora it was Punta Sur/ P Gardens and Maricaibo /Tunich.

We are here right now and its our first stay. Overall very pleased. As others have said very clean and endless A/C. We are the last room 4th floor. Small bit of ocean visable but mostly roof top and ac units. Noise level not too bad. Probably on the same level as any typical hotel. Sound does echo down the hallway. Could be more generous with washcloths. Somedays one, somedays none. But that is a pretty minor complaint.

This was our first morning to truly appreciate Santa at the buffet. She is amazing managing a near endless stream of perfect waffles, pancakes and omelettes for hours.

Edit: a small drying rack for the balcony would be much appreciated!

I agree with that! I recall some balconies had longer lounge chairs. We got regular plastic chairs. There was just not enough places where we could dry swimsuits, wet t-shirts, etc.
