Dear all,

Would anyone with experience diving BHB be willing to take me along anytime in May? I really would like to dive there but wouldn't want to do it alone.

Dates? Have you checked the tide tables?

Let us know when you are planning to be here. The bridge is a tide driven dive best done within an hour of slack hi tide.

Well, that's exactly why I need someone with experience - didn't think about tides :) Will check.
My schedule is pretty open, anytime after May 8th (I am temporarily out of the area). So, if anyone knows of a good time and is going - I am in.

Pretty good crowd for the night dive this evening. Very nice viz that seemed to improve later
in the dive, no complaints here. Hope that's a good sign for tomorrow mornings dive. Temps felt
warmer although I did not check my computer for the temp. Had about an 80 minute dive and
pretty comfy throughout with the full 3mm and beanie. The usual stuff out and about. dive, dive, dive...

May 9th-11th tides are good--11:30am to 1:30pm. We tend to stay away from weekends at the bridge due to other uses of the park--just a lot more people, including scuba classes............We might go on Monday the 14th, hi tide at 4:35pm. Monday and Tuesday the 7th and 8th are also likely for us as the tides are 9:50 and 10:42am. We normallly get in the water about an hour before hi tide--and arrive at the bridge maybe 2 hours before hi tide..........................

Google for massive amounts of info and tide tables. Force E on Blue Heron Blvd has free tide tables. A decent online table www.saltwatertides.com navigate to Fl, and use the tides for Port of Palm Beach which is within sight of the bridge.

Can I join you on one of those dates? May 14th looks good, or 9-11th. I can go pretty much anytime during the week.

Just take into account May 13th is Mother's day, and it will probably be particularly busy, if you plan on diving that day, plan on getting there even earlier to secure a parking spot.

Since I originally posted this in the wrong thread....

My brother and I will be in the area May3-5 and I was hoping to do an afternoon dive Thursday the 3rd. Looks like high tide will be about 7 pm with sunset about 7:45 or so, which provides a reasonable dive frame for us (most likely only about an hour and a half for us as newbs) with a little wiggle room to get out of the park. Any of the trolls care to show us some of the better sights? I've dove the bridge once before and absolutely loved it. Diving Friday or Saturday morning would be good too.
