Best meal by Restaurant in Cozumel - updated

I know of only one - Josephina. Her classes are ok and you start with a trip to the market where she shows you what to buy. Co.Cos is a whole different experience and well worth the trip. And you can do other things in Playa while you're there. Good day trip.

On our list every time is Otates for burritos, and El Pique for tacos, especially after a night dive. For a lovely sit-down meal, we love El Pie de Carbon and Kinta.

I did a really nice class at Kondesa with my brother and nephews. I've enjoyed a number of classes with Josefina. I know of at least 2 others, but haven't had any personal experience with them.

My one complaint with Kondesa is that they put corn in their flan. That's just wrong!

Thanks. Didn't know they offer classes. I'll see what kind of classes they offer and they're only a couple blocks from the hotel. But we always go to Coty at least once!

After the most recent trip, the pork shank at Cielito Lindo is right up there on the memorable meals list, but there are so many great places, and seems to be a bunch of new candidates lately. Chardonnay and Colores y Sabores were also memorable. And as far as cooking classes, I have been to Josephina's, and it is a lot of fun, with the trip to El Mercado and all. Enjoyed it a lot.

Surprised Le Chef's Lobster & Bacon grilled sandwhich hasn't been mentioned (or maybe I missed it and it has been)... One of the best sandwhiches I've ever eaten. Reminded me of the chef that invented the Reuben in the states for it's uniqueness and just how absolutely fantastic the combination is. Rest assured, Le Chef's sandwhich is way more than lobster and bacon (anyone could do that). When you eat one you'll be taking it apart, checking out the different breads, condiments, the sauce, etc. and wondering how you can somehow duplicate it.

I viewed Le Chef's Lobster Bacon sandwhich as Cozumel's response to our Reuben and I have to say, Cozumel & Le Chef's wins hands down. An absolute "must eat" on all of our future trips. Yes... you pay a bit for it and can absolutely stuff yourself at Otates for what it costs but it's worth it... I just I won't make a habit of it.
