Kory , John , Rhonda ... Ya'll rock ! thanks for the feast, the Cookies and Fudge and having that Winstar Casino size tent to hang out in !!
Craig and Alan it was cool to spend the day with you guys too.
I gotta have a talk to those Amish about bailing on us today :shakehead:
No Hot towels ... no Cognac !! I've never seen anything like it.

The road back to Paris was nasty with crazy cars doing crazy stuff.
There is no ice it's just slick and low vis. I did a bit of sideways action myself a couple of times.

Ya'll sleep well up there tonight.

Long live the Dragon !

The DRAGON!!!!

Guys, it's been a long time since I've slept in the rain under a shower faucet. This stuff didn't let up allllllll night. Not once. I know, cuz after about 12, I awoke to a chinese forhead drip torture, so I had to rearrange the dragon lare. It may be the size of Winstar, but it gets alot smaller when you are avoid drippage. Our remaining firewood is on the "fire", albiet a bit soppy and not wanting to burn too well. There will be no diving today, unless of course we put on our gear to get dryer than we are now.

Well, enough about the rain. In spite of the wet stuff, and the fact that my beautiful bride wasn't present to share this with me, this has been one of the most enjoyable weekend camping trips I've had. Frank, Craig, Alan, it was great just hanging out with you talking about everything from watches, to trucks, to of course, all the diving adventures we share between us. Rhonda and I feel so blessed to have gotten in to this sport with so many cool people and gadgets and underwater bliss to attain. I've got a new best friend, the coolest hobby in the world, and lots of adventures to experience.......Life is good!!

I'm beginning to believe your beautiful bride is the only sane one remaining in the whole group.

I was looking forward to the report about getting into a COLD, WET wet suit. I knew it was coming.

Yall stay healthy.

Rhonda.... you are a doll for sending the wondeful cookies and fudge to the lake.....nothing really better than a cheeseburger in one hand and one of your giant choc-something cookies in the other!!!!! :10: THANKS

You're welcome! Wish I could have gotten the brownies done....

Next time...

Rhonda:D

You got that right Tom! While they were cold, wet, and getting sleeted on, the boys made me a nice toasty fire in the fireplace, I popped in my Eagles DVD, stuck my fuzzy slippers on my feet, and had a nice, relaxing evening!!

Soooooooo sorry I got left behind......:D

Aside from the good peps and tasty eats I'd say the diving was good too.
While the boat ramp area of the lake is not very deep and is mostly a Moon Scape across the bottom there is always some sort of surprise. I saw a Turtle !! Wow... this year I've only seen a few.... 'count them on one hand. Of course there were lots of Darter Fish. I've read they are endangered. ( not at ' Murray)

I saw a bunch of Clams too . You do know you can eat those things !? We've collected them before and steamed them up with Dry Sherry, Shallots, Clove of Garlic and herbs. With a bit of heavy cream and butter added to form a sauce they make a delightful meal that could be served at at the finest dining establishments.
People have said I could get sick eating them but I could get sick eating at any restrurant too. I could get sick diving in cold weather too but so what. I could get sick of just being at home too :D

The most memorable moment was at the end of our first dive when Alan and I surfaced and looked across the lake towards the Dive Flag way in the distance. Being warmer then the air Steam was rising off of the water and we could see Kory , JC and Craig floating near the Flag like Ghosts about a 150 yards away. That was a spooky image. ' Should have had the camera.

DITTO.... what a great scene!

Ya Know, a dry suit fixes all of those problems with cold and wet wetsuits. :)

Only if your dry suit does not have a 'nicked' seal--lol--then its back to a wet suit to join in the reindeer games...:D
