Just get the new Air 2 5th Gen to replace your inflator and go air integrated. You go from 4 annoying hoses to just 2 hoses. I then have a second AI dive computer on other wrist and a pony. I could technically rescue TWO divers out of air. which almost happened on pescador island cebu with these two newbie divers that dropped to 100 ft depth with only 7 dives total eachI’m replacing my regulator and I’m trying to determine how to configure the hoses for my primary and backup. My current configuration is a short hose to the backup that attaches to a neck yoke and a longer hose for the primary that goes under the arm and up to an “L” shaped fitting. It’s worked well for several hundred dives other than the fitting getting the hose a little twisted occasionally but I’ve never used anything else and I’ve never seen another diver with the same configuration. Is there any consensus on the best configuration?
I don't know of any agency that requires jacket BCDs. PADI allows instruction in any BCD and any regulator/alternate air system.
