Restored the color of my surface marker

My surface marker/lift bag had faded from years of ocean dives and I doubted I could be seen if I needed to use it. It’s still good so I found the best spray paint and restored the color. It’s fabric spray made by Tulip. It didn’t get stiff or rub off when it was wet. Saved me a lot of money.

Wondering what wetsuit to take to Belize

I'm going to Belize November 6-13. I know the surface temp is in the 80's, but I am wondering what exposure suits you wore when you dove to stay warm at depth. What we can take is limited since we will travel on a small plane to get to our resort. I would love to get by with my 1 mm pants and...

Alternative weight pockets for Hydros Pro

I had been diving a Scubapro Lady Hawk for 16 years but needed a new BC after radiation for breast cancer wrecked my range of motion and strength in my shoulder. I bought a Hydros Pro last year and did one dive trip before covid changed diving for most of us. I liked that the Hydros was...

    Sharkskin Dive Wear

Has anyone used a rash guard manufactured by Sharkskin? I'm interested because they are warm and neutrally buoyant. It's an Australian brand that is sold in many shops in the US. I don't live in the US and would have to order online, probably from Florida since it's closest. I am female and...

    Help with BCD Repair--Torn Fabric

I mounted a pocket to my Scubapro Ladyhawk a few years ago. It's mounted to the outside of where the weight pocket inserts using plastic screws. It worked great until it pulled loose today. I have been thinking about reinforcing the hole with glue to keep it from stretching then mounting a...

    Disabling Deep Stop Feature

I have a Scubapro Chromis that I use as my backup computer. It's great for traveling and the right size to wear as a second computer. I have had several other Uwatec/Scubapro computers but none with the deep stop feature until now. I will have to say that I don't like it and it comes on when...

Closed: Aladdin Tech 3g Wrist Computer-- Sold

This is a replacement for one that was out of warranty but replaced by Scubapro as a gesture of good will (my brand new Mantis was a dud and they replaced that one too). It has never been in the water and arrived with the strap broken. Pre-drilled holes for shock cord or the strap can be...

    Who changed my name?

Yesterday my profile page was just as I wanted it to be. I log on today and find out I have become Humbolt Squid. There it is, Humbolt Squid posted under my name. How did this happen and how do I change it?

    Unboxing my new Shearwater Perdix

It arrived today and in the box are extra O-rings, the Bluetooth Dongle, wrist straps, surgical tubing and bungee cord (included from Dive Gear Express because they feel bungee is superior to tubing). DGX also applied a screen protector. The computer also was hand inspected and tested and...

Solved: Where did my personal details go?

I was quite surprised, and almost blinded, by the look of the new Scubaboard page. The biggest surprise came when i looked at my profile and found out that all of my personal details are gone, my diving history, all my liked posts... Yep, gone, everything about me. Why? Where did it go? Has...

    Two questions--Belize Aggressor/Sundancer

I have made many dives but have only one liveaboard experience and that was on Blackbeard's when I was a new diver. I am planning a trip to Belize and read Drrich2's excellent review of the Belize Sundancer. Makes me want vacation time to come faster. I do have a question concerning storage...

    Bad dive buddy rant

I just need to rant and get this off my chest. I was on the boat with local divers who are also my regular buddies for a two tank dive to dives sites where we don't often get to go. We were going to catch lobsters and kill lionfish. We had two buddy teams and this young woman who doesn't dive...

    Looking for smaller dive bag

The old dive bag has given up. I am taking a trip in May and would like to replace it with a smaller rolling duffle. The old bag is 30" and weighs around 12 pounds. I am wondering if anyone has used a 26" rolling bag--or is that too small? I will be flying so I need a light weight bag. I'm a...

Can't post video, so look at these.

. I was unable to post my video of the spotted moray trying to get a big lionfish into his house. I'm going to make another attempt, but where is a West Indian Sea Egg and the remnants of somebody's dinner.

Hand Held Mount made for my GoPro Camera

This is my hand held mount made with a little help from my buddy (who won't let me use his drill). When I purchased the GoPro Surf Edition I figured I would eventually find something to do with the mounts that came with it. I have also attached a Blurfix for greater clarity of my photos and...

    Leaking Blurfix on GoPro Hero2

After six dives with my Blurfix flat lens, I got water between the housing and Blurfix. I took the filter off, rinsed in clear water, dried it and replaced the desiccant balls. I then put a scant amount of lube on on the o-ring and replaced the filter that came with the Blurfix. I went diving...

Please be prepared to dive. Avoid an incident

Dear Fellow Divers, There have been too many threads during the month of May about accidents, other incidents and near misses. While my dive season is year round, it is early in the season for most on this board. Please prepare yourselves and your equipment for your next dive trip wherever it...
