The most ridiculously overstaffed Fundies class ever taught . . .

Good right up's everyone. All fair and accurate records of our funnies course. The course was a lot of work but its paying off now. Felling way better in the water. Thanks Guy, Koos, Jo, Liz, Alex, Dave and Dennis for the excellent instruction and Lynne, Dale, Ryan, Jim, Rick for being my dive...

Spear Fishing teaches fish to fear divers

It could also be your body language but it is probably a combination of a lot of things.

Seven foot hose for single cylinder

One major con is that if you don't rout it correctly and don't check it's routing befor every dive it can get you in a real cluster when you are really in a out of air situation. Ian

Seven foot hose for single cylinder

I dive with the 7 foot hose because I have had to shared air and the extra length makes it a lot easer. By the way i am not a tec diver and have only dived a single tank. It dose take some time to get used to and you should do some drills every so often but that is the same with any new gear. Ian

    Ditchable weight

I have been reading about GUE and the DIR configuration and I haven't found much on ditchable weight. Do you have ditchable weight when you are do a open water dive within recerational dive table limits with a single tank and whats your reasoning if you do or don't? Thanks Ian

    Picking a new suit

I would go with Rock boots: 1 it is alot easer to fix or replace a boot then anything that is attached to your dry suit. 2 most of the people that I know who dive a DUI with turbo soals wouldn't get them in there next DUI drysuit but where I dive we do a lot of shore entrys of which we have to...

    O2 cleaning question

Ok, what would you consider to be the established term or terms to what we are trying to avoide by oxygen servicing our tank and reg

    O2 cleaning question

Dose it really matter what word we use ( flash over, burn, oxidizer) in the context of this thread, it all describes what we are trying to avoid by oxygen cleaning our tank and reg. :) Ian

    Rebreathers and fast current

Danvolker that makes a lot of sence. Well in the the mean time i think I am going to have to look into this micro bubble attachment. That's what I thought would be the case, it's more of a experience issue. Slowly work your way up to the faster current.

    Rebreathers and fast current

Back to the the topic before this turns in to something about who should be allowed to use a rebreather. I think it's is the visual aspect of the bubbles that plays the biggest part in scaring fish off. Ian

    Rebreathers and fast current

Gill envy "Watching Pelagic freed on Swarms of fish with hours of gas to spare " sounds like you found heaven. Thanks for the informative post Danvolker I guess what I was saying is it the visual aspect of the bubbles or is it the sound that that is made by the bubbles that scare the fish...

    Rebreathers and fast current

Danvolker that sound like a good idea but isn't it the bubbles that also scare the fish away or do you think it's mostly the sound. Ian

    Heated undergarment: golem or UTD

I live in British Columbia and dive a lot 3 to 4 times a week but I have hit my limit. Its the cold after 40 min I still have half a tank but I am freezing. So I think I am going to have to invest in a heated undergarment. All i could find was the golem Q-Vest and the UTD Expedition Drysuit...
