Also used along those lines in Australia. I'm sure we've all had to deal with muppets from time to time. The other one you may hear on the rare occasion is "gumby" - less chaos and more incompetence.
A small light ( personally I prefer it when the batteries are old so it isn't too bright) strapped to your mask makes life much easier for reading gauges or if you need to do something with both hands you still have enough light in the right area.

Well when carrying camera gear for a shore dive I always feel like I need another pair of hands, or at least a way of carrying less. So out of all the gear the only bit that I could comfortably drop was the fins. Also helps if you're carrying other gear (prawning nets, cray loops)

All comes down to a matter or redundancy which is a personal issue, and what type of diving you are doing. Most computers or the manual for them give you an idea on the battery life (in hours normally) you would expect them to work for. From my experience this is normally pretty accurate...
Had a very small spray painting job to knock off today. So added a little bit of colour to the F-1's.
Not sure if the paint will stick very well, but some over spray a while back has stayed on so it might just work.
