Then the exchange

  • Hello. Thank you for reaching out to Home Appliances Plus. My name is Candice. I'm sorry to know about this, Barrett. May I have the item you are referring to so I can check on my end? I can also draft the order so I can save you from the hassle of ordering online and I can just send an invoice for you to complete.

  • As the item is in promotion, I would suggest to grab the offer when you can, because it might change without prior notice.

  • You
  • As money is hard to come by and you have lost my trust I would suggest you enjoy how happy I am at keeping my thousands of dollars in my pocket instead if putting it in yours

  • I understand your frustration in this, Barrett. I know you have been excited to add this to your cart because you mentioned earlier that it's only $400 and at the same time, it's still 29% off compared to other websites that are offering the product. As you can see, the original price of the item is $1057.90 and we are offering this at $751.36 which is still a good price. I can offer a 10% discount on top so we can minimize the charge. Let me know your thought so I can extend help.

and it struck me, with all that magnificent diving to do with the ocean in front and the caves behind

Who has the energy or needs a stinking gym to sit in rust and gather dust, thanks home appliances PLUS

Of course you could! I'm just like you guys, except that I have the inclination and the regs to tinker with and compare. It's all subtle, and little of it matters above 200', but anyone can do it and it's fun to talk about.
But can it be measured?

Sure it can.

But then we have to figure out exactly what it is we're measuring. I've asked DiveLab to compare surface tests with WOB loops, but it's been crickets.
let's have this discussion later on, as it would be nice to have a collaborative set of procedures that people generally agree upon to evaluate regs with easy to obtain equipment.

Is it possible regulators have different characteristics (like wine and Turkish coffee) that are appreciated individually?

Honestly, the only time I notice my regulators is when there's a problem.

Hopefully we can collectively can put our heads together to create a procedure and equipment necessary for obtaining subjective numbers. @rsingler is the go to guy. I hope to contribute to such an effort as there is just too much personal bias expressed for regs.

I consider Rob to be an unbiased source. I found it interesting the way he would describe the good aspects of a reg design and also describe it's shortcomings. Some regs take more finesse than others, but with careful servicing all regs can be made to work. I have my own reg preference and it was nice to hear Rob state that it has a really good design. I would still like to learn more about reg design to be able to honestly critique regs, including my own personal preference. My equipment, dive agency, etc. are not part of my identity.

I think that if we can put these procedures out there which allow different people to create the same results, we will have achieved something truly beneficial for consumers. I've never been fond of marketing claims. I like things to be measurable and repeatable.

Sure it can.

Looks like the G250 beats out the the G260 from 8scfm on. What is the one below the G250 labeled 11. To me it looks like "Gears". Sorry for commenting a bit late.

You do realize most of those items were copied from Arabs, right? lol

When do we meet? Oh boy, you don't remember the time we met at DEMA!
Miss conception of the century, probably.

Arabs were living in the desert so they didn’t have the soil to grow wheat to make them able to produce flour or they had no access coffee plants or anything like that.

They are fisherman and their cuisine was heavily relying on that.

Even grilled items or other dishes (so called kebabs and mezes) heavily associated with them simply products of Levantine/eastern Mediterranean (Lebanon, Syria etc.) cuisine.

Coffee has been discovered by Ottomans, first coffee shop in the world opened 1555 at Istanbul, even though Europeans has became aware of the coffee at the tents of retreating Ottoman soldiers after attempts of capturing Vienna.

Little travel or little reading may help. 😉
