I'm a Fish!
Basic issue. My dives are currently usually limited to my NDLs or sometimes CNS%. Gas used to be a problem but now i just use a twinset or a single steel 133. Should i go through the hassle of deco bottles and side mounted crap or just take the Ewo and eventually acquire a Rebreather(prob a SCR). If so then can you recommend a reliable one in the mid range....
thanks <TG>

Yeah take a deco class. The ability to add even a short backgas-only deco is awesome and taking that class with a good instructor will make anyone a much better diver.

For what it's worth, diving with additional slung aluminum tanks isn't nearly as annoying as it looks. And on a rebreather you're going to be carrying bailout bottles anyway.

Yes like others have said do your ANDP courses and then you can go past your NDL and extend your bottom time. Seeing as to how your in FL you are probably in one of the easiest places in the world to find an instructor so just bite the bullet and take the course. Trust me in the end you will be very happy you did it, if not for the extended bottom time but also its just an all around good course that teaches you some good course basics for technical diving. Also you mentioned rebreathers. In my opinion its nice to at least have the ANDP background first be for you jump into rebreather so like I said the ANDP course is a very good base foundation to have. Second yes in theory a rebreather can give you more time underwater because you are basically breathing the perfect mix the entire dive if your running a TTS plan, but also not really if your doing a square profile and take the appropriate OC mix your going to hit your NDL weather your on a CC or OC. Once again this is for square profiles so if you pick a depth to dive at and you have the best OC mix for that depth pretend your at 30m with a 35% well guess what if your on a rebreather at 30m your probably going to dive a 1.2 or 1.3 setpoint in theory you will actually reach your NDL quicker on the rebreather at 30m (although in reality it will most likely be a washout especially if your diving a 1.3 SP). But the second you start shallowing up this is where the rebreather will start to give back more NDL time because now your 35% OC gas is not the best mix anymore but your rebreather is maintaining that 1.3 SP so you will have the best mix, basically fi you "ride" your NDL up to the surface on the rebreather vs OC you will get a lot!! more time on the rebreather especially as you get shallower because now your OC pp02 is becoming less and less.

Next in my opinion (I'm sure some will give me crap for this so sorry in advanced and I am not saying I am right its just my opinion) don't waste your time or money with SCR's. Personally I think its like diving a broken rebreather.

Lastly I'm an not to sure how your CNS is limiting you??

@Capt. T. Goetz,

I prefer simplicity if that is all that's required. Moving to decompression schedules complicates things significantly. If you dive EAN36 (NOAA Nitrox II) shallower than 60 fsw, you can enjoy a very, very long dive, indeed, using your twinset--without needing to go into mandatory deco. And you don't need to take all the extra crap with you. And even a CESA from 60 fsw is not a challenge.

FWIW,

Sorry for not being clear but the CNS( along with Po2) are not directly limiting me but when i get to let's say CNS%65 or Po2 of 1.45 then that's about time i turn around, that's what i'm looking to lower along with deeper MOD.

Find shallower dive sites?

I could but i'm a Evil Knievel kind of guy, looking to push farther. My interests are longer BT for 60ish foot dives and deeper MOD like 130-150 w/o 5min BT.
