Is it just me, or are the cruisers a different breed? Only cruise I've been on are liverboards for scuba... lol

Anyone else remember when those cruise ships stayed overnight?bthat's when it benefited the island financially.

I can remember when not many cruise ships even came to Cozumel.

Me too...IT WAS A MUCH SIMPLER TIME. But living there now is MUCH easier. THEN no SUPER MARKETS, no SAMS CLUB, NO HARDWARE STORES... but PRIMA was upstairs and wonderful--except for ALBERT!

I remember some talk a while back to make Cozumel a terminal port for cruise ships, which was an insanely bad idea. Can you imagine 5000+ cruseros trying to get in and 5000+ trying to get out through the Cozumel airport on the same day?

When Prima was upstairs from Roberto's Black Coral and the cigar shop it was one of my favorite restaurants, but that spiral staircase was a bit of a hazard. :D
