Again thank you. I wait for the Magtape Xtra to arrive and will test it. If it does not perform according to my fetish :) I will try the other ones which are recommended here.

I use painters tape too, easy to use and peal off. Doesn't leave a residue. It will start to stick to itself if it gets old, but it's cheap enough. I'm pretty sure that's what most guys in my area use.

I use painters tape but I'm going to give gaffers tape a shot now that some people recommended it. Going to try the cheap stuff from Amazon that surprisingly has good reviews.

I don't like painters tape for this application. It is not easy to tear in a straigth line. If you have a webbing inthere this works much better. And painters tape sometimes comes off the cylinder, this must not happen at all.

Perhaps there are different kinds of papers tape. Mine does not perform.

Another Gaffer's tape user here.

This is the one I use.

If this is for temporary labelling, as for mix and mod until your next fill, then blue painter's tape.

Until now I used a Tesa tape but they do not produce this type anymore. I tried other tapes but they do not work very well. What I would like to have:
- easy to tear, no scissors or theath needed
- it must stick to the cylinder but
- it must be more or less easy to remove it
- permanent marker must work fine on it

The old Tesa was perfect. It had some kind of webbing inthere, this made it easy to tear. But webbing was not very solid, I could tear it by using 2 fingers of each hand only.

What do you use? Thanks.

Which Tesa tape where you using I recently purchased some of the white 2” cloth tape

Do you use the 1" or the 2"? I like the look of the yellow, but they're sold out of the 2" width in that color.

1" for me analysis is more about accountability as most of my bottles have permanent MOD markings, so I'm not overly worried about seeing it underwater.
