Which tow cord do you use?

Dude when you need a hand building a rebreather I should have some definitive answers for you
 
No adjustment in mine. I have set lengths for top and bottom line and they are individually cut and tied. Shorter top so the scoot stays on plane below me with even tension on both lines at my desired length. I used 550 cord that was burned and super glued at the knots.

I don't have any out of water pics but my buddy did get this one which shows it in use.

I will add an adjustment on mine, no doubt.
 
My Bonex has an old tow cord, it's stiff meanwhile and does not slide well anymore, it became difficult to adjust length.

What kind of cord do you use? Must be
- about 5mm
- braided
- black if possible

What material is best? Nylon, polyester......
Are there differences in braiding?
Black is silly. When it gets tangled (or wrapped in your prop) you have that much more hassle getting it cleaned up. Black offers zero value.
