I cancelled my backorder and bought another Shearwater to use as a backup. Just not worth the wait.

So if I buy one while I'm living in Europe, your company won't stand behind it after I move back to North America?
I've been looking at these for a while and with the dropping Euro it's looking better and better, but that's still a lot of cash to shell out if the manufacturer won't back the computer.
Your case or at least what you try to describe is nothing new to us after distributing few years for couple European manufacturers, its a very isolated case and we have our ways to
make it work if the story is true but in general mentioned before rule apply.

Kanadian_Kash, I think you should ask the owner of xDeep, Piotr, and I would be surprised if he did not honour your warranty. Piotr provides excellent customer service, and he is very prompt too. He monitors and responds on the xDeep page on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/groups/XDEEPBT/ or you can message or email him.
The price of the X-Deep Black (nitrox) here comes to about $450 USD (€ 425) with this morning's exchange rate. The USA price is about $630 USD. I'm sure you can see why this interests me.
They seem to be the US distributor for several European gear suppliers. They sell a bunch of Yellow Diving stuff. And not at a small markup either. I bought a scooter camera mount shipped direct from the manufacturer in Poland for $100 cheaper than TecDiveGear is selling it for.
The downside is that I can't use the computer here, it needs to be sealed when I leave the EU. I'll need to look into the regulations a little more to confirm this.
What do you mean 'sealed'?
