Take it for what it's worth, new update from Sebastion...

XDeep EU told him they were supposed to ship yesterday. He has asked for confirmation from them, and hasn't heard back yet. So, let's keep our fingers crossed....but don't hold your breath

Never hold your breath! We should all know that by now. This is after all a diving forum....

I'm starting to wonder what happens when this stuff finally arrives, and breaks after 2 weeks of use... with all the pressure, at this point the manufacturer would feel compelled to rush production, to get the damned thing out the door faster to appease annoyed customers, likely at the cost of quality control. And when a bad sample does reach the unlucky customer, will it take several months to repair or replace? Will there be anybody to answer the phone? By then, the money will have been paid... Does the warranty prescribe the maximum time for the repair to be completed? What options does the unlucky customer have if this isn't done on time?

You think they are rushing?

Who knows? It would only be human to yield to pressure. Lots of humans must be involved. The mixed signals, shipments that did not really happen after all, spotty communication... sounds like things are a bit on the disorderly side, that tends to happen when we're in a hurry...

They're over a year overdue. "Rushing" is not the first word that springs to mind.

What is mindboggling is how bad their communication has been. In the begnning of the thread, they were gung ho and very responsive then nada.

Nothing from Poland or Seb in the USA. No apologies-now they refuse to even respond to DRIS.

We get responses, just got one today from Sebastion. I feel sorry for him, he is just relaying what he hears, and unfortunately I think he got tired of giving the same answer, so he stopped responding....which doesn't look good. He is also at their mercy. We are all along on the White Top Timer ride....

And what did he say? Let me guess...either "in transit" or "two more weeks". What is the real problem here? Some people seem to have received them. Is it only manufacturing? Just make a statement.

Yes, that's what this all boils down to. What is the real problem?

I've heard a few times it was demand. They couldn't make enough, so they went to a bigger facility to improve output. Then, due to some of the parts needed being made by the likes of Sony, Samsung or something (don't remember) they were continually getting bumped to the back of the line when bigger folks placed orders.....

Mike, I find the idea of XD and Sony/Samsung being mentioned in the same sentence quite laughable. Do you seriously think that there is a business intersection here? Do you really think that XD is competing for production with them? Or any other lmassive manufacturer? How many units could they hope to sell anyway? This is a tiny production run.

And we're hearing that some customers have them already so we know that they're in production. Poland could easily address this with an apology and statement. But no, they're not savvy enough to understand and not know what to do.
