Ok. Personally, I'm alright with being patient in this matter. It's not an emergency that I have a BT right freaking now, and it looks like this is going to be a great product, even if they were a little overzealous with their production date estimates. I'm glad they're taking their time to get things worked out. If anything, I think xDeep just needs to be a little more honest with themselves and their release dates.

It'll get here when it gets here.

Are they going to be at DEMA? (With the xDeep of course).

I'm afraid I have no idea. Might be worth emailing them?

@tridacna
Just read this on xDeeps FB page
Xdeep It (BT Black new software) will be introduced on incoming DEMA show and then on Baltictech next month. The upgrades will be available soon after.

Not sure if I can trust them at all. I saw them at BTS in March and they assured everyone that it would be released within a month. They had one on display. Almost 8 months and nada. And no response to inquiries. I know that Mike at DRI is offering to vouch for them but this is ridiculous. At least they should communicate with potential customers.

I'm just the messenger.
I personally know what it's like to bring a product to market. I can't agree with the way they have done it, but my guess is they had the very best of intentions, they just got caught up in stuff. I'm sure it'll be here soon enough?
I'm also sure that some people will want to move on and buy an alternative (evident from this thread)

Ultimately, the product will be better for the extra development.

Quote from FB
But even the bad things can result in good. Due to the longer development time, the BLACK now offers:

- 4x more powerful processor for the future features;
- 4x more RAM memory;
- significantly bigger display with much better quality;
- 20% bigger Samsung battery;
- a lot of additional software features;

... and then most importantly: VPM-B and VPM-B+GFS as a free update in the Q1 2014 for all BLACK EANx and BLACK TMX users!

Channel that energy into positive stuff ;)

Maybe yes, maybe no; but the demonstrated inability to find their arse with both hands, a map, a compass, a can light, and 8 months doesn't speak well of support for the product once it makes it into the wild.

And while I love DRIS, I don't see how their standing behind the product will really help get around xDeep's incompetence if a user needs service. Is DRIS going into the BT repair business? Will they have a source of parts independent of xDeep?

Here's the issue:

I'm happy to announce that long expected BLACK - bottom timer / upgrade-able to NITROX / TRIMIX computer will be available to buy this Friday July 26th ! >>

That's pretty confident in my book. Enough said. Agree regarding DRIS - as much as I like Mike and his company (superb sales and service in my opinion), how the heck do they "stand behind" these guys? Let's see if they get stock in 'one to weeks'.

Nope, but I'm good at twisting nipples to make sure people don't get screwed or getting their money into another product ;) I'm not standing behind Xdeep, I'm backing your purchase with DRIS!

You guys have far too much hate.
xDeep have brought some great products to market and this thread wouldn't exist, if they weren't about to bring another one.
Just because they are late doesn't make them incompetent ?
Nor is it any reflection on their ability to support a product.
Lighten up guys... or do you all live in perfect worlds?

I live in a pragmatic world. YMMV.
