No poopie diving for me. That's why I say we might consider heading to Catalina on Sunday, which is probably poopie-free, to do some diving. I doubt we'll do any on Saturday at the Wrinkles.

'Cuz I wanna go to the Wrinkles and see everyone and have some good food and hang out at my favorite place (the beach).

I second that emotion!! :beerchug: Great idea...I'm still bringing the brownies!
And I think I'll bring a kayak. If I can't get in it, at least I might be able to paddle around on it :jump3: (surf allowing, of course).

Last weekend I spent 18 grueling hours in a boat and made no dives. I will pass this month on an early morning drive to watch the brown surf. You all have a great time. I will catch you at the next one.

Well, I'll definitely be there as it looks like most people will be.

If the diving turns out good, I'm happy. If the diving is less than stellar, I'll still be happy because I enjoy hanging out with all of you. :crafty:

However, I do look forward to the Wrinkles Dive being at Catalina Island next month.

So, who wants to bring the condiments for the hot dogs and hamburgers? They are a real crowd pleaser at these things. :D

I'm not to concerned with the bananas, but if someone wants to bring those that would be cool. I think Ana likes them. ;)

I’m sorry but I think I will also cancel for this event. :06: Too much rain for me to get into the water with all that mud. I will see you all the next time.

I've got nothing but blue skies at my place this morning. If it doesn't rain more before Saturday, that will give it around 84 hours (almost 4 days) for the water to clear up. 72 hours is usually the magic number.

To cancel or not to cancel, that is the question...

Visibility will likely be terrible.

Let's face it, we all like hanging out together but 2 months in a row of hanging out together all day and evening but not diving is not what we're all about.... especially if large factions of the group choose to postpone.

I rather like Shaka's suggestion that we change the rotation and move Laguna to March (which I may have to miss due to our Hawaii trip) or we can skip Laguna and fit it in later when one of the months has some ideal conditions and we want to double up.

Don't you think it would just be much more fun if we get together when we can actually DIVE?? The islands really seem like the best idea for this weekend.

If we do get together on Saturday, I am bringing the clean-up bags.

I wonder if the 72 hours applies after continuous rains like this. Upstream dams get full, and the flood control channels keep pumping junk for weeks. At least that's what happened last time. Or maybe it's just a factor of the water being exposed to sunlight for a certain period to kill the bacteria, whether it's in the flood control channels or in the ocean or wherever.

Is there a hydrobacteriologist in the house?
