I've just posted all of the dive site info I've been able to find for everything from Crystal Cove State Park to Treasure Island in the first post of this thread.

If anyone knows of some other worthy web addresses to info that should be included let me know.

Christian

P.S. Since everyone, so far, has voted for Heisler Park, I've gone ahead and just added that in the first post as well.

Is this dive still going to go? I was there on Saturday and it was really, really, really flooding! What do you think?
Ryan, it's 6 days away(Saturday). We all hope the weather will improve by then :)

The weather forcast calls for Sunny/ Partly Cloudy from Wed - Monday...

We all know how reliable the focasts can be, but that's plenty of time for improvement.

Yeah, what Sean said! :D

We've proven on a few occasions already that whether or not conditions are super nice, we still have a blast! It's a great time to meet new dive buddies and put faces to the names you see here on ScubaBoard.

I hope you'll be able to make it, Ryan.

I can understand that the folks that have to travel quite a ways might not want to attend because of conditions, but even if I we can't dive, (which I doubt), I am still gong to be there, even if the only thing we do is grab some breakfast and BS a little. I just like keeping in touch.

Seriously scuba dewds/gals........we need hamburgers I think. What do you guys want to eat all those condiments with??? Lettuce???

Ya' think the weather conditions on that infamous Wrinkles morning might have thinned the crowds??? :lightingz That morning confirmed again that sometimes the best rewards go to the truly crazed...some wildman in baggies and flip flops, jumping out of his NY-plated car, laughing at us natives bundled up for winter, "Hey great day for diving...Let's Go!"...hideous weather and great dives...
I would vote for meeting at Deadmansat sunrise (6:30-ish) with coffee :java: , hot chocolate and fistfuls of optimism. Come on Scott...we can sleep more when we're dead!:jump013:
I've never been to Crystal cove, so diving there later would be great. Bringin' all my tanks.
Ciao,
Claudette

Hey Claudette,

I dove Deadman's last Thursday night as the rain started to drizzle. Viz wasn't too bad, 4-8 foot at the reef, 10+ over the sand flats. There was heavy surge at depth though, plus a rip tide to contend with.

BTW, I will be in Redondo (Veteran's) on Wednesday night if this darn rain lets up. Diving with Reefseekers if you want to join us. http://www.reefseekers.com

I will be there. The 7 day forecast from the National Weather Service indicated that the chance of rain drops to 10% by Wednesday night, and it should stay dry through the weekend. Also the NOAA model predicts small to moderate waves for next weekend.

Does anyone have a link for OC water quality measurements? Several days after a major rain it might be on the cusp of being acceptable in populated areas. It might be safer up at Reef Point (and besides that is one of my favorites).

I will bring a stove (white gas, not propane), and hot chocolate/tea.
