I live in NC and do most of my diving on the wrecks off of Beaufort/Cape Lookout. If you get to NC go to Discovery Diving in Beaufort. Debby is a Master Instructor and runs a 5-Star PADI operation. She is an outstanding instructor as are all of her instructors. She has a really good wreck diving course she offers and there are PLENTY of wrecks to practice on...U-352 is not included:)

A better instructor and person will be hard to find, plus you´ll be able to keep diving with him even after certification as he drives to all the good florida wrecks regularly...

Perfect, I will check him out, thank you.

As with most fields one always has an expert. I am interested in getting Wreck Diving certification specialty but I am not just looking for someone to take my money and help me collect another card. I actually want to learn this specialty. I am sorry if this should be obvious but I have been calling around some of the local operators and they don't seem to understand this. Bottom line is I am looking for recommendations on a dive instructor preferably in South Florida (or anyware in Florida if he/she is what I am looking for) who is an "expert" on Wreck Diving.

I appreciate everyone's help in advance.

Andrew Georgitsis ("AG"), former Training Director at GUE is the expert you're looking for:

He's now based in San Jose/Monterey Bay Calif., so you're going to have to get together with some other interested Floridians to have him fly out there. Here's one:

I know there are not that many people here from the Sunshine State, but I was wondering how may would be willing and able to have AG come out to teach a class or two in FL?

I know that I would like to do Wreck1 or Tech 1 but since I cant afford both and can get tech 1 here by GUE, Wreck1 it is. I can maybe find others locally.

Anyone wanting to take Essentials? I know there are plenty of people that want to take DIR-F but can not afford a gear make over before the class.
