Honest opinion? It's not a joke. This particular mod does have a history of such "off-putting" responses. It would be bad enough coming from a regular member ... from a staff member, it's inexcusable. He should have taken his own advice and said it privately.

And ... FWIW ... back when I was a moderator, staff did not have the ability to put ANY member on Ignore. There were good reasons for that policy.

Very interesting post, and judging by the amount of "thank yous'" it generated, apparently a lot of people would agree.

The suits that I have access to have provided me with the following. I tried to convey this information to trw, to try and help him understand what he was experiencing.

From what I am told, there is a new type of bully that has manifested as a direct result of the internet. He ( or she ) can sit in the warmth and comfort of their own room and pretty much say what ever they feel, with out the fear of being held accountable.

I am also told that this is a natural progression, as we move away from the mentality of, when a man called you out and you had to stand toe to toe with him, to a society that defines itself more with words than with actions.

I am of no opinion, as I have been taught that, a well placed long distance dedication has done more to change the course of human events, than any other single intervention, spoken or other wise.

Don't take away my freedoms. I like to have my own opinion and feel that it is a right to free speech.
So what I'm getting at is....

I would like to know what other people think here on this board otherwise why post opinions. I don't want someone to lie or merely tell me something i want to hear. I want someone to thank me and I want someone else to b**ch to me and both give me reasons why they feel like they do. From that I can choose which argument I support.

That is ..... a forum. right?
