My wife uses one and I use a more traditional Whites Catalyst. She is tough on a suit and it has help up very well - no leaks so far.

Here are the two happy divers that enjoyed several nice and warm Catalina dives.

Unfair! You didn't include a picture of me in my sylish TLS 350 WITH matching undergarment piping! Seems one sided!! BTW, it's incredibly easy to get on and off. I just did it multiple times on land at the scuba show while sweaty and in jeans... Never dove a whites fusion though... but you should see the custom ones they made for the Roddenberry dive team!!

I got my CLX450 for $499 dollars for the suit and boots with zip zeals all installed. I got it brand new at Sports Chalet when they decided to not stock them anymore.

I happen to be at the right place and at the right time, it was a stock medium size that I fit without a problem, pulled out the credit card and came home happy.

I added all the extra trimmings later and still had the entire suit way under $1,000 dollars, so I guess I am bias on the price I paid for a DUI suit.... :D

Too funny! :rofl3:

I will add thanks to everyone for their opinions. I am currently shopping around. I was looking at the Pinnacle Freedom 2 and the Fusion. I saw both at the Long Beach show. The Freedom comes with a nice, large pocket and seemed very durable. The cost was great, too. I can get one for about $940 online. Add in undergarment, hood and boots and still under $1400 easily.

All the opinions have made up my mind, though. I can get a package deal for the Fusion for $1800 including shipping. That includes TWO skins (sport & tech), pockets on the tech skin, Whites boots, socks, 2-layer whites undergarment, backpack, patch kit and wax. Add all that up....anyone else wanna compare that to DUI pricing?

What a deal! I was happy with my deal and it wasn't that sweet! You will be happy with the Fusion and heck you can join the Power Rangers with it! :rofl3:

I went to try on a Fusion today...what a pain in the butt! Am I missing something here? It took me 15 minutes to get my feet/legs into the bag! Is a drysuit really worth alll the grief?

If you're in the northeast and get the chance, come out to one of our "Dueling Drysuits" and get your chance to test dive Whites Fusions along with BARE, DUI, Pinnacle, and Waterproof drysuits, at a price that you can't beat - FREE! Because it's two layers, it is ....different... in pulling it on.

With that said, it takes longer for me to pull on the undergarments. Really. I haven't timed it, but less than a minute to get into the suit, including arms and zipped up.

All the best, James

It's trixy. But once you know the trix, it's easy.

I find that you can't fold down the legs too much. The more open I get the suit near the feet, the easier it is to put on. I don't think of putting myself into the suit, but rather rolling the suit over me. Like anything new, it takes some getting used to, but then becomes second nature. My area is not filled with tons of divers - it'a a small town, really. And on Saturday there were three of us out of ten diving the Fusion, and we all had the suits on in no time.

As stated there are some tricks. It helps to have a chair or a place to sit.

Mike Pederson of Dive Right Inn Scuba has a video on You tube showing how to put one on. Search Fusion Dry suit and you will find it.

I found it pretty easy to put on, but it does take a few times to really get the hang of it. Helps to do dry run at home, where you can use a mirror to see zipper starts etc.
